Helanthium bolivianum 'quadricostatus' in jar - Tropica

The Helanthium 'Quadricostatus', coming from South America, has characteristic light green leaves 10-15 cm long that offer a great contrast with the darker aquarium plants. It is very beautiful if planted in groups, each rosette becomes 15-20 cm wide. It also grows well with a rather low light.

In good condition, it produces runners who spread themselves on the bottom. Very pale leaves are a sign of a lack of microelements. There is a bit of confusion about the name of this plant, which was sold as Echinodorus Bolivianus Var. magdalenensis.
