The Rotala indicates 'Bonsai' is best described as a compact and moderate growth version of Carolinian Bacopa.

Plant it in small groups and often prune. The cuttings can be replanted in the group to get a denser group or carpet.

In the presence of high light, the tip of the stems can become reddish, while with lower light the leaves become larger and the plant less compact.

The 'Bonsai' rotate is particularly suitable for dwarf aquariums.
