The genus **Eriocaulon** is usually adapted to fresh water. **Eriocaulon cinereum*** is more tolerant than most species and thrives in medium hardness water, although fresh water promotes general health.
It is a rather small plant, with very narrow leaves and almost cushion growth, which requires a good supply of light and CO2 to develop.
It usually blooms very easily after planting in the aquarium, and the numerous flowered stems give a unique appearance. Flowering consumes much energy of the plant, but with the right conditions, it will accumulate new energy and grow from the base after a certain time.
