The Aponogeton Longiplumulosus of Madagascar has large and grooved leaves (35-60 cm long), which makes it a wonderful plant that can be recommended for large aquariums (the entire plant becomes 25-40 cm wide).
The bulb can be covered with the background layer, as long as the sprout tip is on the surface of the ground. It is relatively unpleasant and does not require particular water quality. A nutrition capsule under the bulb greatly increases growth. Furthermore, it flows frequently, which makes it a nice addition to any large open aquarium.
Growth stops at regular intervals, but usually resumes after a few weeks of dormancy.
