Staurogyne repens in cup - Aquaflora

Staurogyne repens is a fresh, compact and resistant green plant for the first floor of the aquarium and was found in the Rio Cristalino river in the south of the Amazon. His closest relative in the aquarium is Hygrophila, but the Staurogyne differs due to its marked compactness, low stature and bushy bearing (5-10 cm) and small green leaves (every stem is 3,4 cm wide).

When planting in the aquarium, the longer erect jets must be cut and from the base of the plant will soon form new horizontal creeping jets that will gradually colonize the gravel.

Under poor lighting conditions, growth will be more upright and many less lateral shoots will form.
