Staurogyne repens in cup - Aquaflora

Staurogyne Repens is a fresh, compact and resistant green plant for the aquarium close-up and was found in the Rio Cristalino river in the south of the Amazon. His closest relative in the aquarium is the hygrophile, but the Staurogyne differs for its marked compactness, the low stature and the bushed bearing (5-10 cm) and the small green leaves (each stem is 3.4 cm wide).

When it is planted in the aquarium, the longer erect jets must be cut and from the plant base new horizontal creeping jets will soon be formed that will gradually colonize the gravel.

In poor lighting conditions, growth will be more erected and many fewer side shoots will form.
