A special moss of Brazil, 1-3 cm tall, called “musk of the Christmas tree”, for its structure with lateral branches that distinguishes it from the common Dubyana Vesicularia and that resembles the branches of a fir-tree.
It is more demanding than the normal musk of Java and grows slower. It is easily attached to roots and stones and, since it spreads in the water, it needs pruning to maintain an attractive shape. See also Taxiphyllum barbers
