Being rich in carbonates, Onyx provides advantages for any type of plant that can feed on bicarbonates (meadow plate). Onyx sandTM can be used with other funds, but it is more effective alone. There is no need for additions such as bricks or other competing products. Onyx sandTM must never be replaced, it remains effective throughout the aquarium life, it is not chemically treated and does not alter water PH. Although it is pre-washed, it is preferable to rinse it before using it to eliminate residues. An initial opalescence is normal and will disappear quickly (2-12 hours). To shorten opalescence use Claritytm in combination with a mechanical filter (glass ).
