Anubias 'Mini Coin' is a variety of Anubias barteri discovered in the aquatic nursery Tropica in Denmark. This plant is one of Anubias smaller, with each leaf smaller than a fingernail. It is easy to grow as its mother plant, so it does not love intense light.
Anubias 'Mini Coin' grows better if attached to rocks or roots of trees in the aquarium. If planted in the substrate, the creeping stem (rizome) should not be covered, since this could cause the plant to rot and cause its death. Anubias 'Mini Coin' easily branches and forms a thick pillow of small, round leaves and an intense green. If the plant becomes too dense, it can be gently divided and the new plants can be placed elsewhere in the aquarium.
It is ideal for use in nano aquariums, but it can also add delicate details to a larger aquarium.
