'Reni' is a well-known cultivar, characterized by being one of the smallest among the red Echinodorus, with a height between 15 and 40 cm and a 15-25 cm wide rosette. The new leaves of the plant are red-brown until intense beet red. It can be used in small aquariums and is little demanding. The plant requires a lot of light and nourishment to better develop its color.
