The lower part of the pink leaves of the Alternanthera reineckii 'Pink' creates an effective contrast with the numerous green plants of the aquarium, especially if planted in group. The stems become high 25-50 cm.
Good lighting encourages the leaves to become red. It is easy to propagate by detaching the terminal sprout and planting it in the substrate. In this way the mother plant becomes more bushy, because more lateral sprouts are formed.
