Cryptocoryne parva in pot - Aquaflora

The Cryptocoryne parva of Sri Lanka is the smallest of all Cryptocorynes (only 3-6 cm tall and a rosette less than 5-8 cm wide). It is one of the few species that does not significantly change the shape and color of the leaves depending on the cultivation conditions. It needs more light than most other Cryptocorynes, because under water almost loses the leaf plate. Therefore, it should never be shaded by other plants.

It is known for its slow growth, but nutritional capsules in the lower layer promote its development. The individual plants must be planted a few centimeters away from each other, and after about six months they will form a low and cohesive group of plants.
