Riccia fluitans in cup - Tropica

The Japanese Takashi Amano has inspired many aquarists to keep the river Riccia submerged, a cosmopolitan hepatic 1-5 cm high. It can be held low by binding it to a stone with a piece of fishing wire, but the new sprouts always grow towards the surface, so it can be necessary to prun it with scissors. The Riccia fluitans thrives best with the addition of CO2 and in good growth conditions small oxygen bubbles are formed on the tips of the leaves. As a traditional floating plant offers good protection for young fish.
