This red version of **Cryptocoryne undulata**** grows spontaneously in the Sri Lankan rivers.
It is an easy plant, tolerant to very different conditions within the aquarium. The appearance of the plant will depend partly on these conditions.
Low levels of light and nutrients will produce a relatively high plant, brown-green and slow growing. Higher levels of light and nutrition, combined with the addition of CO2, will grow the plant considerably faster, producing shorter leaves of brown-reddish color.
