Instructions on the Potassium Pro Test Kit

    1. Prepare the filter kit as follows:

    a. Place a clean and dry filtering card (II) on the fee (III)

breakfast. Place the upper cylinder (I) on the filter paper and push downwards, ensuring the filter paper between the cylinder and the funnel.

    c. Place the filter mounted on the filtering cup (IV)

    2. Using the large syringe supplied, inject exactly 2 ml of water to be tested in one of the glass ampoules. 3. Add 3ml of RO or distilled water into 2 ml of sample water.

    4. Add 4 drops of Potassium Pro Reagent A, close the ampoule with the cap and shake for 15 seconds.

    5. Add 11 drops of Potassium Pro Reagent B, close the ampoule with the cap and shake for 15 seconds.

    6. Wait for 10 minutes (use a stopwatch) and then pour all the glass ampoule liquid on the filter.

    7. Wait (about 7 minutes) until at the recollection of at least 3ml of filtered liquid in the relative cup (above the line), remove the filter and uncheck the remaining liquid. Using the 5ml syringe, inject exactly 3ml of liquid filtered from the filtering cup in the second glass ampoule.

    8. Make sure the needle supplied is located on the 1 ml titration syringe and fill with 0.5 ml of Potassium Pro Titrant (D). Note With regard to the 1ml titration loading, rinse the syringe plunger (see arrow in the diagram) until it reaches the 1.0 ml notch. The liquid surface will be around 0.1-0.15 ML below the plunger. Nonprove to remove the air trapped between the liquid and the plunger. This small air volume corresponds to the liquid contained inside the plastic needle.

    9. Insert the syringe to the center of the titrant solution so that the sized series on the side of the syringe is visible. The graduated series degrees are 0.01 ml, equivalent to 3 ppm of potassium.

    10. Add 2 drops of Potassium Pro Reagent C and stir slowly. The sample test will now have the starting color of the titration as shown on the instruction map.

    11. Screw the glass ampoule to the base of the titrant solution.

    12. Add a drop at a potassium Pro Titrant (D) by pressing the syringe plunger and stirring slowly immediately afterwards, until you reach the final color. Pay particular attention to the color of the sample test after adding the first drop.

Note: the amount of used titrative solution is inversely proportional to the potassium level in the water sample of the tank. If the final color is reached after the first drop, the potassium level equal to or greater than 467 ppm. 13. Write out the amount of solution titrant used (depending on the initial and final position of the plunger, not of the liquid surface) and use the table to calculate the potassium level in the water sample. 14. Disphasizing the unused solution Rinse all syringes, glass ampoules and the RO water filter or distilled water before putting them away. Filtering cards are used only once.
