PH-Plus, water conditioner for pH and kH rise
- To adapt the pH and carbonatic hardness to the needs of fish and invertebrates in freshwater and marine aquariums
- Rapid increase in pH and stabilization thanks to the raising of carbonate hardness (KH)
- Use in fresh water: Dosare repeatedly to raise carbonate hardness in too soft water until the desired value is reached. Maximum increase in pH to 8.5
- Use in sea water: adjustment of carbonatic hardness on the natural sea value of 7 -12 ° d KH and consequently adjusting the pH of 8.0 to 8.4
- Content: 1 pH / kH elevator bottle. Use: 10 ml / 40 l of water. It results in an increase of about 1st DKH and a stable pH
Nature at home - a habitat for fish and plants
Fish need to feel good in the aquarium as in nature. The inhabitants of the water have adapted to the acidity (pH) of their habitat and must find similar conditions even in the aquarium. For the inhabitants of the aquarium a fake pH does not only take stress but it can also be due to diseases or can shorten the life of their lives. Water conditioners JBL Lower or raise the pH, making the water of the aquarium again suitable for fish.
The advantages of water conditioners JBL
Rapid pH increase, stabilization thanks to the increase in carbonate hardness.
Water chemistry for experts:
The carbonate hardness (KH) contains bicarbonates (HCO3) 2, which stabilize the pH. In the event of a kH too low the value of the pH oscillates strongly and is at a minimum in the morning. During the day it increases and decreases again at night. Since the pH is a logarithmic value, a night decrease eg. from 8 to 6 involves a centrus of acidity! Carbonate hardness lowers a pH value too high or increases a pH value too low and stabilizes it, thus avoiding oscillations too strong. In the fresh water aquarium the value of KH should never go under the 5th DKH. Only in Tanganika or Malawi aquariums can overcome it quietly. The marine water aquarium must have a kH between 7 and 12 ° DKH, so that a pH of 8 - 8 are automatically established. Higher KH values do not make much sense and often involve the problem of calcium precipitation. Since JBL PH-Plus is created on a sodium bicarbonate and constantly detect bicarbonates to marine water aquariums but not football, we recommend adding JBL Calciumarin, which provides both calcium and bicarbonates, for a regular increase in kH and pH stabilization in marine water aquariums.
