It consists of a water-resistant chromatic scale indicator and a replaceable sensitive film. This film, located at the center of the colored display, changes from yellow to green to blue depending on the level of ammonia present. Treated carefully the sensor lasts over a year. Instructions

Place the indicator at a good point in view of the aquarium or filter. In the absence of ammonia frees the central disc has a pale yellow or yellow-green color. The sensor placed in the water may need a few days to balance. No preliminary tests are required. The presence of ammonia in the free state is recorded after about 15 minutes from its appearance in the aquarium. The response to a decrease in ammonia concentration is slower. After the ammonia has been removed, about 4 hours are needed for the passage from TOSSICO to SICURO.
