Flourite Dark Seachem

Flourite® Dark is a porous gravel in a stable porous clay specifically fractionated for the aquarium with natural plants. Its appearance is more suitable for planted aquariums, but can be used in any freshwater environment. Flourite® Dark is more effective when used alone as a full substrate bed, but can be mixed with other gravels. Gravel modifiers like the laterite are not necessary. Flourite® Dark is not coated or treated chemically and does not alter the pH of water. Flourite® Dark is good for the life of the aquarium and should not be replaced.

To determine the number of bags necessary for your aquarium, keep in mind that each envelope (7 kg, 15.4 pounds) occupies a volume of about 5,500 cm 3 (325 cu. In.). To determine the desired volume, multiply the width of the tank for the length of the desired depth.

Directions

Although it is pre-washed, because Flourite® Dark is a natural product, it can become dusty during transport and request rinsing before use to remove residual powder.

Note: The 3,5 kg mesh bottom allows rinsing in the bag.

Tips: When adding water to the aquarium, slowly fill to avoid disturbing the Dark Flourite® substrate bed. Put a bowl in the aquarium and add water directly to the bowl, so that the water can smoothly overflow on the gravel bed. The initial cloudiness is normal. To remove nebulosity, use Clarity ™ Clearing.
