Temperatures above 30 ° C and strong thermal fluctuations are often problematic for the inhabitants and plants that can weaken or suffer damage.

Lighting, pumps, ambient temperature and sun rays make sure that the aquarium temperature can exceed the level considered healthy.

With the help of cooling systems for aquariums (e.g. Water Cooler V2 or V4) it is possible to lower the temperature too high to a considered healthy level. The temperature of the aquarium decreases by evaporation cooling.
