Seachem PhosGuard

PhosGuard is able to remove 20-60 mg of phosphates and as many silicates. It can be used periodically or continuously without the risk of a part of the absorbed phosphates. Reduces filamentous algae and promotes coral growth.

To achieve the best results, PhosGuard must be positioned so as to maximize water flow through it. It can be placed directly in the filter or in any high flow area.

Instructions:

Use 250 ml every 300 liters of water. Let the product act for 4 days and test phosphates and silicates using MultiTest: Phosphate or MultiTest: Silicate. If the concentration of the components you are trying to decrease did not decrease by 02 mg, replace the PhosGuardTM, If the concentration of the component you are trying to decrease did not fall to about 0.02 mg, leave the product until the levels begin to rise again. As long as they remain under control, the product is not exhausted. 500 ml of PhosGuard treat more than 400 l (i.e. remove up to 30 mg of phosphate in 400 l of water, depending on the initial concentration of phosphate/sylicate as well as the existing biological load. No more treatment is recommended. PhosGuard TM is not a resin exchange, it does not release anything in water. The continuous use of small quantities is preferable to the intermittent use of greater quantities.

Attention!: It can generate heat to the first contact with water. Protect yourself with the addition of a double volume of fresh water (for example, 250 ml of product in 500 ml of water)
