Cryptocoryne parva in jar - Aquaflora

The Cryptocoryne Parva of Sri Lanka is the smallest of all Cryptocorynes (only 3-6 cm high and a wide rosette less than 5-8 cm). It is one of the few species that does not change significantly the shape and color of the leaves depending on the cultivation conditions. It needs more light than most other Cryptocorynes, because under the water it loses almost the leaf plaque. Therefore, it must never be placed in the shade from other plants.

It is known for its slow growth, but nutritional capsules in the lower layer favor its development. The individual plants must be planted a few centimeters away from each other, and after about six months a low group and cohesive of plants will form.
