The MicRanthemum Callitrichoides 'Cuba' is one of the smallest aquarium plants in the world and creeps on the bottom with millimetric round leaves. Micanthemum Callitrichoides is an attractive and popular close-up plant for small aquariums.
It is not a difficult plant, but requires good condition, as a sufficient light, added CO2, water circulation and fertilizer to thrive. If these conditions are difficult to create, you can use the MicRanthemum 'Monte-Carlo' as an alternative, which is less demanding.
Small oxygen pearls or bubbles often produce above the plants, adding a very lively appearance to the carpet.
If planted in small tufts a few centimeters from each other, it will spread quickly and cover the bottom as a rug. Cut the carpet regularly, otherwise the lower parts will not receive enough light, causing the death of the roots.
It is located in Cuba, west of Havana.
