Bacopa australis in pot - Aquaflora

Bacopa australis was discovered in southern Brazil (australis = southern) and does not originate from Australia, as its name might otherwise suggest.The stems reach a height of 10-30 cm and a width of 2-4 cm.Like other Bacopa species, Bacopa australis is also easy to grow in an aquarium.Under certain conditions, it spreads out on the bottom, forming an elegant and decorative light green cushion.When Bacopa australis grows in good light, the leaves turn reddish.It is easily propagated by taking side shoots and planting them in the substrate.
