Bucephalandra Needle Leaf in cup - Tropica

Although the Bucephalandra come from Asia and they Anubias from Africa, they have many characteristics in common, including the way they are cultivated.

The Bucephalandra sp. 'Needle leaf' has slightly higher needs than the 'diabolic' and pygmaeae varieties, but still remains a plant very easy to grow. Adding CO2 and a little more light are advantageous. The leaves emerged are green, elongated and slightly wavy, with numerous small white dots. Each leaf is less than 0,5 cm wide and between 1 and 2 cm long. The younger parts of the rhizome have a nice red color. Growth is slow.

The creeping rhizome should not be covered during the planting, otherwise the plant could rot and die.
