Bucephalandra Needle Leaf in Cup - Tropica

Although the Bucephalandra come from Asia and the Anubias From Africa, they have many common features, including the way they are cultivated.

The Bucephalandra sp. 'Needle Leaf' has slightly higher needs than the 'diabolical' varieties and Pygmaeae, but still remains a very easy to cultivate plant. The addition of CO2 and a little more light are advantageous. The leaves emerged are green, stretched and slightly undulating, with numerous white dots. Each leaf is less than 0.5 cm wide and long between 1 and 2 cm. The youngest parts of the rhizome have a beautiful red color. Growth is slow.

The creeping rhizome should not be covered during the planting, otherwise the plant could rot and die.
