Oranda Ranchu Kirin It is a fancy variety of red fish obtained through targeted selections combining:

• the compact structure and free of a typical Ranchu dorsal fin,

• the presence of the wen on the head, characteristic of the earanda,

• a short but wide, symmetrical and well opened tail.

The body is squound, with pronounced abdomen and rounded profile. The flakes are large and reflective, capable of enhancing the complex lines typical of the Kirin variant, often characterized by combinations of red, white, black and metal shades.
It is also a fish selected for the observation from above, according to the Asian tradition of breeding of the ornamental carassius.

Ideal habitat in the aquarium

This variety requires a stable and well-designed environment:

• Recommended minimum volume: 100 liters for adult specimen

• Filtration: powerful and oversized, preferably with external filter

• Water movement: moderate, without strong currents

• Lighting: widespread and not too intense

• Background: fine sand or rounded gravel, to avoid trauma to the mouth and fins
