Type: Perennial carnivorous plant
Appearance: Forms a dense rosette of fleshy, glandular leaves.
Size: Medium, usually between 10 and 15 cm in diameter.
Cultivation Conditions:
Light: Bright indirect light, tolerates some hours of direct sunlight.
Temperature: Prefers moderate temperatures, between 15°C and 25°C.
Humidity: Appreciates moderate to high humidity, around 50% to 70%.
Substrate: Well-draining mixture, composed of peat, perlite, and sand.
Watering: Capillary watering recommended, keeping the substrate moist but not waterlogged.
Overwintering: May undergo partial dormancy in winter with reduced watering.
Propagation: Mainly by division of rosettes or leaf cuttings.
Specialties: Sensitive to mineral-rich water, use rainwater, distilled, or osmosis water.
- Watering: loves limestone water, so tap water is fine. In summer it is enough a cm of water in the underwater while in winter it is reduced to make it return in the compact winter rosette. You return to water in April with the arrival of spring.
- Relative humidity: it is recommended to maintain moisture between 50% and 70%.
- Temperature: avoid exposure to temperatures below 5 degrees; prefers moderate temperatures, between 15°C and 25°C.
