All invertebrates in fresh water aquariums (gamberets, snails, crustaceans) need minerals for growth. Crustaceans must change periodically as their armour cannot grow. For animals, the mutation is a difficult and dangerous period because they remain defenseless and attackable. The mineral clay montmorillonite contained in JBL Nano-Crusta is, as it has been shown, extremely useful for the formation of armour. Especially in fresh water the crustaceans and snails need an addition of minerals to the water, since fresh water contains very few minerals.
