Water analysis with smartphone - the new generation
Notabene: The reactive strip should be used for a single measurement. Repeated strip scanning would lead to different values, since the strip continues to react.
During the "freshwater aquarium" and "water" analysis, the current CO2 content in the water is calculated as an additional bonus. Depending on the results of the analyzes, the sections "Freshwater Aquarium" and "Garden pond" offer personalized tips and suggestions on which products JBL They can help obtain ideal / optimal water values.
How accurate this measurement method is?
Since smartphones have an automatic color balancing, color reading is more accurate than what we would do with naked eye. If the test is carried out correctly, the result is absolutely reliable. As for the results of the nitrite, the experience teaches that it is useful to make a further measurement with a drop test (JBL ProAquatest NO2 nitrite) if the result of JBL PROSCAN is not equal to 0, since this value must be 100% reliable (the nitrite starting from 0.4 mg / l is fatally toxic to fish).
Possible errors during use:
When you remove the water strips, do not shake them vertically, otherwise wet colors would flow into other color fields. The strip should be drained horizontally and carefully. If they do not drain, the drops too reflect the light on the color fields and lead to imprecise results. It would be ideal to photograph strips on the color table with daylight. But it is even more important that the incidence of light is uniform and that there are no shadow parts and illuminated parts. If so, the colors would be illuminated unevenly on the color table.
