M 5 up to 120L. Twinstar sterilizing anti-algae

Suitable for sweet tanks up to 50L, Twinstar effectively inhibits the onset and propagation of green algae without having any harmful effect on the ecological balance of the tank; also makes crystalline water as it blocks the diffusion of algal spores on the birth.

Aquarium capacity: from 20 to 120

The Twinstar Algae Inhibitor is a real anti-algae for aquarium that acts by eliminating the spores of algae during the first phases (especially during a new staging of the tank), finally preventing its subsequent growth.

The principle of operation is based on the sterilization capacity of the microbulae generated by the diffuser; such microbullets destroy the cell wall of green algae by blocking its proliferation without however being in any way harmful to aerobic bacteria. In this way the growth of the plants will be facilitated and more luxuriant, thus increasing the ability by them to better absorb the nutrients present in water and, consequently, limit the availability of such nutrients for the algae.

A great work has been carried out to try to find a definitive solution to the green algae; unfortunately, it is not always enough to make regular water changes or limit the luminous intake to the tub. Twinstar it is born from the need to find an alternative and minimally invasive method that makes less frequent the need to change large amounts of water and above all that does not force the aquarium (expert or neophyte that is) to reduce the brightness of the tank.

The main causes of algae onset are three:

lighting too strong

excess of nutrients (azotum and phosphorus) in tub

too much carbon dioxide

Green algae are nothing but the preliminary stage of the process of evolution of plants, process that has several aspects in common to that, of course, of aquatic plants. Since the elements necessary for the growth of algae and those necessary for the plants are very similar, almost identical, in an aquarium planted obviously algae will find all the ideal conditions to proliferate. Already from the 10th day of start the algae will begin to be visible to the naked eye and will take foot in a couple of months.

Such algae are not only harmful for the fact that they feed on the same elements of the plants, thus removing them the food necessary to grow and develop, but also for the fact that they physically hinder the penetration of the light significantly reduces the luminous intake and consequently harming the chlorophyll photosynthesis.

Twinstar improves the growth of plants up to 50% more; increases the luminous intake to the plants thanks to the inhibition of algae. It also helps to activate the microelements present in water by helping plants in nutrient absorption.

A test was made with a Roala Indica and a Glossostigma and the results are amazing: starting from the same initial conditions, the growth of Glossostigma has increased up to 50% while that of Rotala up to 40%.

In botany the so-called "minimum law" is fundamental. This law says that if even one of the factors necessary for proper growth (nutrients, humidity, temperature, light, etc.) is lacking, the growth of the plant will be affected by this missing factor, making almost influent the other factors that may be widely in the norm.

For example, the nutrients provided by a newly started subsoil (azotum, phosphorus, potassium, etc.) are more than sufficient for the subsistence of the plants but unfortunately the microelements are not present in necessary quantities so that the growth of the plants will not be regular and constant.

Twinstar it solves this problem as it increases the level of micronutrients by limiting the occurrence of algae.

Installation of Twinstar in an aquarium planted just started:

First day: start the aquarium, taking care to properly plant the plants according to the instructions of the producer of the fertile substrate. Some vagrant powder residues in the tank can be removed with subsequent water changes.

Fifth day: at the initial stage, the spores of the algae begin and generate around the third day, taking advantage of the abundance of nutrients released by a new substrate, and begin to be visible to the naked eye already around the tenth day from the start; to ensure that the proliferation of such spores is blocked on the birth it is recommended to install Twinstar on the 5th day from the start or at the most however within the first ten days.

Sixth day: the effect of eliminating spores by Twinstar is already 90% of its effectiveness; to improve effectiveness you can now add nitrifying bacteria that feeds on nitrates to further combat filamentous algae

Installation of Twinstar in aquarium already started:

carefully remove all possible algae in the tank; if the aquarium is started for over a month and a half it is recommended to give a clean also to the biological filter

install Twinstar taking care to put in the tank also of the bacteria that feed on nitrates in order to limit to the maximum the nutrients available for algae

Positioning Twinstar:

install the speaker Twinstar, using the appropriate suction cups, in a zone of the tub where there is a good recirculation of water as long as it is distant from the suction tube to prevent the microbulae being aspired before becoming effective; it is recommended to install the diffuser on the bottom of the aquarium in correspondence of the output flow.

How it works Twinstar:

The device bases its operation on an intelligent aquarium management algorithm; the ecosystem of the tank varies depending on the "age" of the tank itself, the program of Twinstar regulates the intensity and frequency of microbolal emissions according to the conditions in which the tank is poured.

The operation is very simple then, it is enough to turn on the device, select the suitable mode to your own tank, and Twinstar will do everything else automatically.

In case you want to reset Twinstar (for example if you want to move it to a new tank or if you want to refit the aquarium) it will be enough to hold the start button for 10 seconds.

Maintenance:

To make sure Twinstar is always 100% efficient it is advisable to clean the reactor with a sponge filled with a cleaning solution

This solution is achieved by diluting 20cc of Sodium Hypochlorite (the common bleach or wagon) in 1000cc of water and keeping it at rest for about 3 hours before use.

The reactor Twinstar has an average life, if used appropriately, of about 9-14 months after which it is to be replaced with its spare part.
