In their natural habitats the reptiles, amphibians and other animals that we take care of in our terraries take on vitamins, minerals and trace elements of vital importance for them through food. Even if we try to reach a natural diet in the treatment of the terrarium, it does not completely succeed. When, eg, we give to eat crickets and meal jumps, these do not come from the natural biotope of our animals in the terrariums that therefore do not have their natural food available! Often meal animals do not receive any feed or feed of quality less than in nature for economic reasons.
