PH Test – instructions for use
1. Using the supplied syringe, inject exactly 5 ml of water to be tested in the glass amp.
2. Add 3 drops of pH indicator, close the amp with the cap and shake for 10 seconds.
3. Once the test is finished, move the amp to the designated positions on the colored paper, look in the amp from above and compare the color with those of the paper.
Choose the pH level that matches the most similar color and if necessary estimate an intermediate value.
4. The color in the reaction amp will remain stable for 5 minutes. Do not consider the color in the amp spent this time lasso.
KH Test – instructions for use
1. Using the supplied syringe, inject exactly 5 ml of water to be tested in the glass amp.
2. Add 1 drop of KH indicator and stir for 10 seconds. The sample test
will not now have the color “starting” of the titration as shown on the colored paper.
3. Continue to add the KH indicator one drop at a time (act for 10 seconds after each drop) until the color in the amp approaches
to the “final” color of the colored paper., Count the number of drops required to approach the final color.
4. Each drop of the indicator is 1KH or 0.36 meq/L.
5. If the last drop produces a color that signals an overdose compared to the final color, reduce the calculated level of 0.5°KH or 0.18 meq/L.
Note: The Alkalinity test kit allows an accurate dosage of Red Sea’s KH-Coralline Gro and the Reef Foundation B in aquariums of only marine fish.
