Advanced titration test that measures the magnesium level in your barrier aquarium, with exceptionally high accuracy of 20 ppm.
The MAGNESIUM PRO Reef Test Kit Red Sea is a advanced titration test, which measures the magnesium level in your barrier aquarium with an exceptionally high accuracy of 20 ppm.
The MAGNESIUM PRO Reef Test kit allows the accurate dosage of the MAGNESIUM Foundation C supplement Red Sea, which is part of the full programme Red Sea Reef Care
The Magnesium Pro test kit Red Sea includes a durable plastic case and resistant to chemical agents and analytical grade glass fial.
High Precision Magnesium Test
Instructions on the MagnesiumPro Test Kit
1. Using the large syringe supplied, inject exactly 2 ml of water to test
in the glass amp.
2. Add 5 drops of Mg Pro Reagent A, stirring the amp for 15 seconds after adding
of each drop.
3. Add 5 drops of Mg Pro Reagent B and stir reagent slowly with sample
water.
4. Screw the glass amp at the base of the titrant solution for about 60 seconds until the
sample test will get the starting color as reported on the instruction card. At the base
of the amp will form a precipitate.
5. Make sure the supplied needle is located on the 1ml titration syringe and fill with
1 ml of Magnesium Pro Titrant (C). [see note on the loading of the syringe for the
titration
6. Insert the syringe at the center of the titular solution so that the graduated series on the part
side of the syringe is visible. Gradual grades are 0.01 ml, equivalent to 20
magnesium ppm.
7. Add 0.4 ml dyed solution (corresponding to 800ppm of magnesium)
pressing the syringe plunger slowly mixing the titrant solution. Continue
to add the solution gradually, mixing it after each addition, making
attention to the color in the amp. When the color in the amp approaches the final color
of the instruction paper, add a drop at a time and stir immediately after, until
reach the final color (blue).
Note: Soon after reaching the final blue color, the liquid in the amp will become purple. Do not continue
add titular solution If you have used more than 0.8ml of titular solution, you will not reach the point
final and you'll have to do the test again.
8. Write down the amount of solution used (depending on the initial and final position
of the plunger, not of the liquid surface) and use of the table to calculate the level of
magnesium in the water sample.
9. River the amount of non-used titrant solution in the Magnesium Pro Titrant C bottle.
