Healthy aquariums / ponds in conditions such asin nature

The correct water values in the aquarium / pond depend on the fish population and the plants present. Water can be contaminated even if it seems clear. With negative parameters can arise diseases and form algae. To maintain a healthy aquarium/ pond with conditions similar to natural ones it is important to check and adjust the water values regularly.

JBL provides water tests for any type of water analysis in the form of rapid tests or color-virage tests. These determine a certain value or several values at once. With such water tests you can recognize algae problems and negative values of nitrate, nitrite, potassium, magnesium etc.

In addition to sufficient CO2 input, iron and trace elements are essential for water plants. As aquatic plants grow well consume iron and trace elements continuously and that these in the water are very unstable, although in modern fertilizers are linked to so-called chelators (e.g. JBL Ferropol, JBL Fe +Microelements), the iron content should be checked regularly by means of the JBL iron test kit. In case of need, fertilization should be repeated. The owners of the ponds must examine the iron share in their spring water before using it for the pond. On the other hand, too high iron content causes problems in the ponds.
