The aquarists of Thailand, near the border with Burma, have discovered this plant. In Thailand it is called "Downei" (small star) and it is easy to understand why (5-10 cm high and width). The Pogostemon Helferi is an unusual and particular aquatic plant, with a compact habit, curled leaves and an extraordinarily beautiful green color.

In the presence of good condition of light and a substrate rich in nutrients, the Pogostemon Helferi forms many side shoots that develop small roots and the plant quickly forms an impressive carpet of vegetation in the foreground.
