Thanks to the patented brush impeller the system ensures extraordinary performance.

Aquarium installation
MC 501 is supplied with support (15) adjustable in height for mounting in the aquarium both on the left side and on the right side. Fix the support on the desired side and adjust the height of the froamer so that the container is at least 80 mm above the water level. Regular now the height of the collection container (5) which must remain inside the frozen for approx. 50 mm. Operate the pump (level 4 controller) making sure the adjustment valve (2) is open. MC 501 is now ready for operation.
Installation in the external filter
Depending on the size of the filter the skimmer can be installed directly in the filter tank (making sure that the influx and outflow zones are not obstructed) or, as described above, fixed to the tank by means of support.
The appearance of the foam can be adjusted by means of tracimation bulkhead (12):
- Higher bulkhead = dry foam
- bulkhead deeper = wet foam
The minimum water level must be approx. 120 mm.
Operate the pump (level 4 controller), MC 501 is ready for operation.
Adjustment
If the foam is too wet, remove the container collection reception a little. If the foam
It is too dry, insert the collection container into the container more. Alternatively it is possible
Adjust the foam using the tracimation bulkhead (12).
Note
Due to the filter sponge or other substances present on the surfaces, up to 48 hours can spend
Before the skimmer is hit. The definitive adjustment must therefore be performed after this period.

Warnings
If there are air fine bubbles during the operation, the causes can be
different:
a. New marine water
Due to certain supplements present in many marine salts the skimmer produces air bubbles
Extremely fine, which cannot be retained, and at the same time a very watery foam.
We recommend removing the adjustment valve (2) and reduce the mentioned substances in the water of the aquarium
Through the frequent emptying of the collection container.
breakfast. Adjustment valve (2) Too closed, breaking the air pipe in the skimmer, nozzle of the
Air intake (10) blocked from salt, limestone and dust crystals.
Due to the reduced air intake the pump enters a greater amount of water in proportion than
Increase the flow rate in the froamer and generates air bubbles in return, which normally
It doesn't happen.
Maintenance
Once the skimmed workers are installed and correctly Deltec They need little maintenance. However,
The use of kalkwasser mixers and calcium reactors can lead to the formation of calcareous deposits that
They can cause problems in operation. It is therefore recommended to check either
however every 3-6 months that the rotor with the ceramic shaft (7 and 6), and the air nozzle (10) are not
blocked. Any calcareous deposits can be removed by immersing the parts in a solution with a
Common anti-scale.
It is advisable to stop the pump for about 15-30 minutes once a week to avoid the deposit of
Powder crystals and salt in the air inlet fitting.
