Glass Paludarium, advanced stand and terrarium for rainproof environments
The EXO Terra Paludarium is a semi-aquatic habitat that replies natural environments such as rainforests, marshes or streams. It can accommodate both aquatic and terrestrial species of animals and plants.
The marsh combines the best of the two worlds: the lower part has an extra high front glass that allows a greater level and volume of water compared to traditional terrariums.
The root background simulates a natural environment similar to that of a banyan tree, offering additional space for climbing. The increased three-dimensional space makes it ideal for arboreal species
Dimensions: 30x30x60 (h) cm
Main features:
- Front ventilation
- Double doors with independent opening to avoid leaks
- Aquarium-terrarium combination with extra deep waterproof background
- Raised structure for use with EXO Earth heating mat
- High quality stainless steel network for optimal ventilation and UVB penetration

Three distinct zones in a single habitat:
- Terrestrial area: dry area with plants, rocks and shelters, ideal for reptiles, amphibians and invertebrates.
- Riparial area: border area between land and water, inhabited by semi-aquatic species.
- Aquatic area: It can be a stream, pond or pond, suitable for fish, turtles, shrimp and aquatic amphibians.
Installation of waterfalls and biological filtering:
To create a waterfall or a background irrigation system, we recommend using the ESO Terra Cascade HP180 immersion pump (not included).
This high-performance pump allows you to create:
- Single waterfalls up to 180 cm high
- Flop-level waterfalls or flows that descend to the aquatic area
Perfect also for constant irrigation of the background, creating a favorable environment for mosses, lichens, ferns, orchids and epiphythe plants.
Natural filtering system:
Slide the water between live plants and moss or through waterfalls, which oxygenate and filter water biologically. Live plants contribute to the filtering capacity of the system, making the marsh a small closed ecosystem, ideal for semi-aquatic species.
Other features:
- Front doors that can be opened separately to reduce the risk of escape during maintenance and power supply
- Top cover in a removable network to facilitate access during cleaning and set up
- 5 inputs closed on both sides for pumps, heaters, sensors, etc.
Maintenance tips:
- Regularly verifies water quality
- Execute partial water changes if necessary (avoid total changes to avoid eliminating beneficial bacteria)
- Use biotize to accelerate the start of biological filtration
Recommended species:
Perfect for reptiles and amphibians arboricles, fish, crustaceans and aquatic invertebrates. Some examples:
- Freshwater turtles
- Basilischi, water dragons, anolid
- Tritons, Salamandre, Arboreal frogs, arrow frogs
