Matrix Carbon TIDAL

MatrixCarbonTM is a macroporous chemical-mechanical filter medium with highly effective bituminous carbon-based active carbon. The charcoal filter - spherical and hydrodynamic - has extremely tiny cracks and cracks, so-called macros and micropores, which allow the maximum flow of water.

While microporous carbons are used for air filtration, removing smaller metals and ions as traces of minerals, macroporous carbons such as MatrixCarbonTM are ideal for water filtration, removing larger organic molecules such as nitrogenous waste.

Second Seachem, compared to other MatrixCarbonTM carbons contains the lowest detectable phosphates content of any carbon brand tested. When taking into account the removal of organic matter, the rate of adsorption and duration, this filter medium clearly provides excellent performance.

Tip: Thanks to the low ash content, MatrixCarbonTM has almost no effect on the pH value of the water - even with distilled water, the pH does not exceed 7.0. MatrixCarbonTM is supplied in specific bags (suitable for each filter) for Tidal 55, 75 and 110 with durable seams and corrosion-resistant zipper.

How to use: use 250 ml of MatrixCarbonTM in 400 L of water. This dosage is sufficient for several months. Water the activated charcoal balls with water before use and use a filter bag during filtering.
