Filter materials - Resins
Biogen ™ is a carbon-based biopolymer (PHA) designed to reduce nitrate and phosphate. In a fluid bed filter, it will favor the growth of bacteria that consume nitrate and phosphate and is more effective than over 10% compared to the main competitors on the market.
Instructions:
Biogen ™ must be used in reactors that provide a water flow such as to maintain bio moving pellets. The bacteria will colonize the bio pellets in about 2/4 weeks. Add 60 ml per 265 l weekly until it reaches a total dose of 60 ml for 85 L.
Slowly increase the dose so as to prevent drastic drops of phosphates and nitrates and reduce the risk of a bacterial explosion. Considering that bacteria consume bio pellets over time, it will be necessary to reintegrate the consumed product to maintain the correct dosage. Do not wait for the reactor to be empty before reintegrating it. It is important to monitor the reactor and change the flow to keep the bio pellets moving.
In anaerobic conditions, the static bio pellets could cause the formation of hydrogen sulfide. If this occurs, replace the product by rinsing the reactor before reinserting it, and restart the flow. For a skimmereless system it is sufficient to regularly clean the mechanical filter.
Note: only for aquarium! Keep away from children!
