BLQ23 is a bacterial culture from the unpublished formula specifically designed to insert exclusively populations of nitrifying and denitrifying bacteria in the aquarium, up to the internal pores of the live rocks or in sandy funds (both low and DSB), in order to promote optimal denitrification through nitrate transformation (NO3) into gaseous nitrogen.
BLQ23 is therefore recommended in cases of new aquarium installation, live rocks maturation or presence of nitrates.
BLQ23 does not cause the production of sulphide acid production. After a few weeks you could even note the increase in bacterial mud that, irrelevant, can also be removed without stirring it or to take it to suspension. In the new aquariums, once the maturation is completed with BLQ23, it is advisable to move to the formulated BLQ1 and in the now ripe reef aquariums, this can be combined with the BLQ Booster (a halved dose) so as to keep the best Oligothrophic conditions.
In the case of a high organic load the dose of all BLQ series products can be for short periods doubled.
Doses:
Aquariums with important or newly installed organic load: 10 ml per 100 liters for the first 7 days and then resume after 20 days a weekly use.
Mature aquariums or with reduced organic load: 1 cap (5 ml) per 100 liters, once every 1-2 weeks and after the change of periodic water.
Use:
Shake before use. Place directly to the aquarium to the lights off.
Since the replication rate of these bacteria is very low, you will need a few weeks to be able to appreciate the effects. When you use BLQ23 suspend any other bacterial formulated for at least 1 month.
To obtain the best results, we also recommend regular use, after the first month of use of BLQ23, by BLQ Booster as a source of organic carbon for growth and maintenance of bacterial populations.
