Only recently LED lamps can be considered a valid substitute compared to fluorescent tubes, also offering greater energy savings.

Until recently, they were not optimized for aquarium plants and for aquariums in general not satisfying technology, request and luminous spectrum. The LEDs were used only in the technical and residential sector. The bright spectrum for aquatic plants however differs greatly from the spectrum of residential LED lamps or used for torches. Here it is the photosintetically active radiation field (par, photosynthetic Active Radiation) and a complete spectrum covering all the spectral fields of the visible bright spectrum. Only starting from this was possible to produce a perfect light for aquarium plants!
