Substrate
The Nesaea Pedicellata is an original water plant in West Africa, easily arable in the aquarium.
It is able to tolerate both tough water and fresh water, preferring temperatures between 21 and 25 degrees.
It requires a medium-high illumination and a rich nutritious substrate, features that make it a colored and decorative addition for any aquarium.
The Nesaea Pedicellata is mainly in rivers and waterways of West Africa.
The variant called "N. pedicellata golden", which stands out for the gold-colored leaves and the pink stem. This variety, like the original shape, requires conditions similar to the pedificement nesaea 'Green', in terms of lighting, fertilization and nutrients, but is particularly appreciated for chromatic contrasts that can create in the aquarium.
However, the pedificine nesaea is not a plant suitable for beginners; It requires a certain experience in care of aquatic plants. Fundamental for its cultivation is a fertile substrate where its roots can develop adequately, as well as a lighting of at least 0.6 Watt per liter of water. Although carbon dioxide (CO2) is not indispensable, its presence can promote a more robust and rapid growth of the plant.
In the aquarium, the pedicle nesaea is ideal for being positioned in the back, given its vertical growth. However, it is important to make sure that even low parts receive sufficient light, avoiding placing it in too shaded areas, as behind rocks or roots.
The propagation of the pedicle nesaea is quite simple: just prune the stem and reset the cut portions, which will develop a new independent plant. Frequent pruning can stimulate more compact and bushy growth, further improving the aesthetic aspect of the aquarium.
