Pogostemon Helferi in jar - Tropica

The aquarists in Thailand, near the border with Burma, have discovered this plant. It is called 'Downoi' (small star) in Thailand, and it is easy to see why (5-10 cm high and width). Pogostemon Helferi is an unusual and distinctive aquatic plant, with a compact bearing, curly leaves and a green color of surprising beauty.

With good light conditions and a rich nutritious substrate, the Pogostemon Helferi forms many side shoots that develop small roots and the plant quickly forms an impressive carpet of vegetation in the foreground.
