BLQ2 is a bacterial culture with an unpublished formula specifically designed to insert populations of anaerobic bacteria into denitrators filters and anoxic zones of the aquarium, such as the internal pores of the living rocks, and to create layers of non-toxic mud in all areas, even those otherwise oxygen saturates.
BLQ2 works by developing layers of bacterial mud to prevent oxygen from being available for anaerobic bacteria, thus promoting denitrification by transforming nitrates into gaseous nitrogen.
BLQ2 does not cause increased production of sulphite acid, as its bacteria do not use sulphur as a reducing agent.
