Information:
Most reef aquarium corals are considered photosynthetic as they receive most of their energy needs from the photosynthetics of zooxantelle symbiotic algae.
In nature, these corals collect about 85% of their energy from zooxantelles, and produce the remaining 15% of their needs from metabolization by tissues that absorb nutrients that are present in the water.
It is therefore essential to provide a balanced mix of carbohydrates, vitamins and amino acids and fats to meet the energy demands of the coral. The requested quantity depends on the type of corals.
The nutritional needs of SPS corals, in particular, depend on the nutrient levels for algae (nitrates and phosphates) available in water.
In systems with reduced amounts of nutrients (for example, when using Red Sea NO3: PO4-X), the amount of energy that corals receive from zoxanthellae is significantly reduced, therefore, higher levels of nutrients for corals are necessary to meet the energy requirements of the same.
Energy efficiency A is a unique formulation of carbohydrates, amino acids, fatty acids, suspension proteins that are immediately available for direct consumption and absorption from corals.
The components, has proven to be used in metabolic processes of coral protein production and soft tissue regeneration, do not introduce any organic useless material to the system.
Energy Reef A stimulates the extension of soft polyps and tissues, helping coral optimize nutrient consumption, expanding its surface area for absorption.
