Aponogeton madagascariensis is a bulb plant native to Madagascar and is a specialty of botanical gardens from all over the world.
The bulb can be covered with the lower layer, provided the tip of the sprout is on the surface of the soil. Aponogeton madagascariensis has so high requirements in terms of water quality and bottom that can be recommended as a solitary plant only in large and specialized aquariums where water is frequently replaced. Feeding in capsules greatly improves growth.
There are different varieties, with different structures and leaf widths and dimensions between 25 and 50 cm.
