In nature, Bucephalandra usually grows on rocks or woods in rivers and streams, very similar to'Anubias, to which it resembles for use and care in the aquarium.
The Bucephalandra 'Bukit Kalem' is an easy and slow growing plant that prefers lower light levels. Its dense appearance is guaranteed by the tendency to branch, even without pruning.
The green leaves are 2 cm wide and 5 cm long, with wavy edges. On the dipped leaves can appear tiny white spots.
The creeping stem, or rhizome, should not be covered during the planting, otherwise the plant could rot and die.
