Inside the reactor, microalgae are grown using light, fertilizers and carbon dioxide content contained in the air. Phytoplankton can be used to directly feed many invertebrates filtering or used for zooplankton playback. The 10 W integrated LED light provides sufficient light for good breeding. If nutrient content is sufficient, algae mass can quadruple in 24 hours. The Plankton Light Reactor II is equipped with two connections for simultaneous supply of air and CO2. If there is a strong Plancton application, CO2 can be administered forced. The lid is equipped with a pH electrode preposition cap. With normal requirements, however, no additional CO2 is required.
For easy partial plankton removal, there is a hose with dosing clamp and support.
For ventilation and oxygenation, we recommend using our Mistral 100 air pump or larger models.
