The phosphates (PO4) arise in the aquarium following the decomposition of organic substances.

Right in the strict space of the aquarium there are many substances that decompose such as excess food, plant residues, organic substances etc.

Despite being necessary the presence of phosphates, only in very small concentration they are not harmful.

Natural waters not yet contaminated by man normally have a very low PO4 concentrate, but achieving this optimal result in the aquarium without the help of specific products is practically impossible.

When concentration increases, in fresh water there is an undesired growth of algae, while in the marine aquarium the synthesis of calcium is blocked in the limestone red algae, in hard corals and other bodies for which football is a vital element.

To keep these problems under control it is advisable to keep the phosphate value no later than 0.1 - 0.3 mg / l.

In marine water the concentration of phosphates should be kept below 0.015 mg / l.

Rowa®phos in fact binds phosphates without negatively affect the water of the aquarium when the material reaches saturation, without giving phosphates or any substance, as eg. aluminum.

Rowa®phos can also be used without problems even with very sensitive fish, such as discus, or in tubs with invertebrates.

Rowa®phos can be inserted into a secondary circulation through a slow-circuited separate filter, or even in a primary circulation as a last layer after biological and mechanical filtration.

Insert the material into the filter, enclosing it in a special network bag or positioning it between two layers of fine filter wad.

The duration of the material in aquarium varies in relation to the concentration of phosphates present in water. It controls through a reliable point of po4.

By regularly measuring the great effectiveness and the right moment for replacing the material is easily determined.

Depending on the concentration of Rowa®phos phosphates it can act in your aquarium for several months, however, keep in mind that, especially in tanks exposed for a long-term high-concentration of phosphates, the PO4 can have tied themselves in large quantities to decorations and the bottom.

Advice of use:

In setting up a new aquarium, use Rowa®phos immediately to have the certainty that a high concentration of PO4 does not develop.

To eliminate phosphates successfully we recommend using Rowa®phos in a methodical way both in newly prepared aquariums and for those already in operation.

Rowa®phos should not be rinsed.

A light red water strainer does not have to worry as it is not harmful to plants and animals and short-term.

Rowa®phos should be held in his well-closed package to better preserve their effectiveness.
