The invisible and harmless beneficial bacteria are essential to remove ammonia and toxic nitrites. With the Aqua Clear filtering system sometimes simply replace one of the three filter cartridges. Following this procedure, a highly effective biological filtration is obtained.

The multiphase filtration system guarantees optimal mechanical, chemical and biological filtration. Phase 1: mechanical filtration (foam filling) captures mechanical impurities and food residues. Step 2: Chemical filtration (activated carbon) absorbs odors, discoloration and impurities. Phase 3: biological filtration (Biomax filling) increases the biological ability of the aquarium.
