Anubias barteri var. barteri - Tropica

Anubias barteri var. barteri from West Africa is a little challenging plant. Grows a little bigger than Anubias barteri var. nana but is cultivated in the same conditions. From 25-45 cm in height and the creeping rhizome from 10-15 cm or more. Anubias barteri varies considerably in terms of size and shape of the leaves.

Like other species Anubias, is better planted in a shady place to minimize the growth of algae on the leaves. If planted on the bottom, the rhizome should not be covered because it tends to rot. It is also suitable for terrariums and marshes. Herbivorous fish does not eat very hard and robust leaves.
