Anubias sp. 'Petite' is a mutation that appeared in cultivation at the nursery of oriental aquatic plants in Singapore.
It remains less than 5 cm tall, has very small leaves and a rhizome of 5-10 cm or more from which the leaves will grow. It branches well and creates dense groups. Not as challenging as others Anubias and does not even appreciate the high light intensity.
It is more decorative when attached to stones or roots, and like others Anubias should be attached with the fishing line until it gains a grip. If planted at the bottom, do not cover the rhizome as this can cause the rot of the plant and die. Ideal plant for miniature landscapes in small aquariums but will attract attention even in larger tanks.
